Pitching coach Emma Zangs will teach us how to speak confidently + you can practice your 1 minute pitch for Sync the City and get feedback!

————————————–

Freezing, Shaking, Blanking, we all experience losing our nerves when speaking in front of an audience, selling over the phone or delivering a presentation at the office.

Good news! Confidence and being in flow is something we can practice, it is not something we are born with or not.

Our guest for October’s Hot Source, Emma Zangs, a communication and pitch coach who helps people speak at conferences such as Adobe Max, Magma, or AWS Summit as well as preparing entrepreneurs to pitch on Dragons’ Den.

Emma’s background in choreography led her to work on music videos for Universal to the startup and tech world industry where she works for large tech companies (Google, Amazon and Linkedin) to early-stage startups in accelerators such as DreamAssembly (Farfetch).

This event is not to be missed if you’re planning to pitch at the Sync the City event in November, as the second half of the event will give you the chance to practice your 1 minute pitch to the audience.

Each pitcher will then get helpful feedback from our panel – Emma will be joined by Sync Mentor Tom Haczewski and Sync 2018 judge Katherine Wood.

Even if you’re not going to Sync, this skill of speaking with confidence is useful to all, whether you are building your own company, leading a team, selling over the phone, going to job interviews, or want to nail your next youtube video.

Join us on the 10th of October to get insight on what makes a great pitch, finding your flow in varied situations and what it’s like behind the scenes of Dragons’ Den.
