StoryFutures Academy: The National Centre for Immersive Storytelling is delighted to invite you to the launch of the UK’s first comprehensive report on skills for immersive experience production. Conducted in collaboration with Immerse UK and the UK’s leading trade bodies, Pact, UKIE, British Screen Forum and UK Screen Alliance, this report draws on data from over 100 companies, including interviews with 25 leading sector figures, to set out how a crucial skills gap has emerged in this vibrant sector. Dealing with technical and creative skills needs, the report outlines the urgent need to build a cohesive skills pipeline across professional, tertiary and secondary education to support the continued growth of the UK’s immersive economy.
Introduced by Sir Peter Bazalgette, the event will include a panel of industry experts to discuss the report’s findings and recommendations. It will explore the current state of the sector, challenges and innovative solutions to help create the pipeline of talent necessary to ensure the UK can retain its status as a world-leader in AR, VR and MR.
